IAF is angry on Karan Johar and things are getting warmer.
Filmmaker and producer karan Johar falls into new trouble over a film and this time he have to face the IAF "Indian Air Force" for insulting them by depicting gender discrimination,he is also facing the wrath of the netizens for "insulting" Indian Air Force, and now things are getting more warmer.
All these heat started few days back when the filmmaker released " It has been molded by Saxena : The Kargil Girl" which is a biopic of India's first lady battle aviator, who what's more joins Arjun Das before the flew of helicopter missions in the 1999 Kargil War.The Film is as much about her personal trajectory as it is about her professional achivments, which is directed by Sharan Sharma and produce by"Dharma production" (owned by Karan Johar)
ASAP the film released it became the hot topic and created controversy,as it shown in some scene that there is gender discrimination in the IAF where male pilots didn't liked the female pilot(Gunjan Saxena) and had some rough behaviour with her.As the viewers feels that this insults IAF and the heat rises against the makers.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) wrote a letter to the censor board objecting to it's "undue negetive" portrayal in the movie "Gunjan Saxena : The Kargil Girl" which teased on Netflix on Wednesday.
According to a senior the letter mentions,"concerns related to the movie's portrayal of gender bias is an institutional work culter" at the IAF and has said to remove the particular scenes.
Gunjan Saxena's IAF coursemate also responded and pointed many mistakes or extra "Twisting of filmmakers"
She said that she watched the movie on Sunday evening and she is shocked by the "Twisting of facts" by the filmmakers.Ranjan was also posted along with Saxena in Udhampur and underwent by the ups and downs of the journey.
The retired officer, who is now based in Kerela said that the Women pilots never faced any embarrassing showings of actual strength ,as appeared in the movie, nor were they abused by male officers."
She moreover said : "Notwithstanding, there were adequate experts to help. We were under severe investigation and certain slip-ups of our own were met with restorative actions which may have been overlooked had it been done by our male counterparts".
The real life Kargil girl Gunjan Saxena also responded.
She said she remains grateful to fellow officers, supervisors, and commanding officers for helping her whenever she found herself in a difficult situation.
Saxena also cleared that the officers in the IAF never differentiated between the male and the female trainees
"Even when we started the flying training, the first lesson that was given to us as woman cadets or students was that the airplane doesn't have the idea and doesn't differentiate whether the person flying it is a male or a female.
"So the instructors told us that they are not going to differentiate whether it is a lady trainee or a male trainee and they are going to give us the same level of training and will also set the same standards for us and I feel that is the explanation that when I was playing out any of my fights, I was performing equally well," she said.
