The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League gets underway from September 19 in Abu Dhabi,where the defending champions Mumbai Indians will take on the formers formers defending champions Chennai Super Kings.

As only 3 days are left for the 13th edition of ipl which will be held in UAE and will be organise by BCCI,with some strict protocol and maintaining the bio secure bubble in order to avoid any casualties and to prevent the spread of Corona virus among any players and staff members which may cost a high amount of loss to the board.
Apart from this many players even some legendary players pulled out their name out of the game owing to personal or health issue.
Here are the players and their respective replacement:
1. Chris Woakes - Delhi Capitals (DC)

The English All-rounder,who was bought by Delhi Capitals with a good amount of Rs. 1.5 Crore,in the 2020 IPL auction,the players pulled out his name back in March,saying he "needed to recharge his batteries" and focus on his England career.The decison was taken before the coronavirus pandemic affected the cricket path.
The franchise has bought in the South African fast bowler named Anrich Nortje to replace England's Chris Woakes.Norteja has played six Tests,seven ODIs and 3 T20Is for South Africa since now.He made his debut match in Johannesburg last year.
This will be Nortje’s maiden IPL stint, after he missed out in 2019 – for Kolkata Knight Riders, who got him at his base cost of INR 20 lakh – because of a shoulder injury.

The most successful bowler in the IPL history since the begining has pulled his name out of the tournament this year.The 37 year old bowler pulled out his name due to some personal issue,although its not the first time that the player will be missed from an entire season of IPL,but according to some sources it is believed that it might have been his last IPL year.
